OWI snowboarder Marcus Wehrle qualified in third place in the Mount Bachelor leg of the Chevy Truck U.S. Snowboard Grand Prix series, some massive backside airs helping him to an impressive total of 41.10 points.

Leading qualifier in a very strong field was Californian rider Andy Finch, with Salt Lake 2002 gold medallist Ross Powers in second place.

Finch went on to win the event from Powers, with Marcus finishing in ninth.

Other OWI results included Andrew Burton in 20th, Ben Bright 22nd with Holly Crawford and Frances Miller both falling and finishing towards the back of the field.
