Jenny Owens, Australia’s top female racer is out for the rest of the 2003 season. In a training run for the first Women’s Downhill event in the World Ski Championships in St. Moritz, Switzerland, Jenny had an accident at high speed, causing a fracture to the top of her tibia. The prognosis is that for the fracture to heal, it cannot bear any weight. Jenny is now on crutches and cannot take any further part in the World Ski Championships.
