Johnstone 6th in Grand Prix event |
|
|
Nathan Johnstone finished 6th today in the Killington Grand Prix. The event was a 5 star TTR stop and the final Grand Prix for the season with some heavy hitters in attendance.
Nathan qualified in 6th place in his heat yesterday earning him a spot in the night final. Unfortunately we were socked in with weather and after hanging around all night it was finally postponed until today. We again had holdups today but fortunately the floodlights were shining bright in the overcast conditions which made visibility good.
Nathan came out blazing in his first run landing back to back 9’s into back to back 7’s and finishing off with a front 1080 for a score of 38.9. He was sitting in 4th after the first run and let it all hang out on his second run unfortunately coming in short on a cab 7 to end his chances of improving his place.
In the end he was bumped back 2 places to an impressive 6th place.
The event was won by Louis Vito with a 45.4. The final results are available via the link below.
