Shaw has made the first top 20 World Cup result of her career,
finishing in 19th place in snowboard cross in Arosa,
Switzerland.
The 21-year-old Ski & Snowboard Australia rider recorded a 43.78
second qualifying run, just over three seconds behind leading
qualifier Karine Ruby of France, but only .61 of a second
outside qualifying for the final.
Ruby went on to win the event, the 67th World Cup victory of her
remarkable career.
Shaw’s previous best result was 21st in Whistler in December.
A second snowboard cross is scheduled for Arosa on Saturday
night, AEST.
