I don't think I have ever worked so hard! There has been no time to stop and reflect during a mad season of events and programs, but at the end of the day I am proud of what we have all achieved! I can only say thank you to everyone who has helped and supported throughout the season.

EVENTS:
We have managed to put our first batch of FIS events on at Mt Buller, Mt Hotham, Thredbo and Perisher. We still have a long way to go to perfect the systems, but I believe there is only one way to learn! I thank everyone for their help, support, and most of all patience while we put systems in place to avoid the mad, last minute panics we have had during the season. At the end of the day, we have 230 new FIS members with lots of FIS points and rankings for the future. Keep a look out for the new WSF (old ISF) rankings--all our results will go on their system too!

TEAMS:
We have sent our largest-ever Australian Junior Team to Junior World Championships in New Zealand--and managed to bring home the Silver medal overall! This is an outstanding result, and shows what we can do in the future! USA came first, and the competition was a good measure for our snowboarders to see what they need to do to win in the future!

PROGRAMS:
We have held our first Development program with Zeke Steggall as Guest coach, and Rene Brunner as Coach/Manager. The members of this team have all benefited from training at Mt Buller, Thredbo and Perisher--and I thank each mountain for their support for these athletes of the future! Two members will go on to do the World Cup season with Zeke Steggall--Johanna Shaw and Clinton Wilton.
CLINICS:
We have had our first Australian Technical Delegates examined this year by Markus Malsiner, Italy. The 3 new TDs are:
Steve Nelson, Trevor Hyland and Josh Lyle.

We have also had clinics for FIS HP judging, and Steve Brown will soon announce the new accredited FIS HP judges for the coming season.

NORTHERN WINTER:
Several camps are already in place for Northern Winter, and I will be gathering info on each of them, and posting it on the website soon!

Congratulations to our many new National Champions!

May you all follow your dreams and remain passionate about your snowboarding! Please don't forget to keep us informed of your results wherever they are--and send us some photos, we are desperately short!

Kind regards
Jonette Wilton
