Holly Crawford has finished 14th in the Chevy
Truck US Snowboard Grand Prix superpipe event in
Park City, Utah.
The event – held in front of more than 8,000
people on the Salt Lake Olympic course –
featured five of the six medallists from the
2002 Games.
Ben Bright was the best of the Australians in
the men’s event, placing 23rd, with Andrew
Burton in 34th and Marcus Wherle in 39th place.
Other Australian women's results saw Sascha Ryzy
in 18th and 15 year-old Frances Miller in 29th.
Coach Ben Wordsworth said after the event "this
was another great result from Holly Crawford,
finishing 14th in a field of more than 40 women,
and up against some of the best riders in the
world".
"The competition was a good experience for the
whole team as we have not competed at this level
before, or in front of such a huge crowd."
"Now we head back to Mammoth to put in a solid
few weeks of training leading up to the World
Championships."
World Cup: Inalpine events, Ski & Snowboard
Australia rider Johanna Shaw finished 25th in
the parallel GS World Cup in Stoneham, Canada.
In the second event of the weekend, another PGS,
she did not finish.
