The conditions for a competition were again excellent and the organizing committee did a great job in running the competition on time. Weather was again perfect, sun was shining and temperature was -2C.
26 women (top 16 qualify for finals)
Emma Chapman Davies qualified 9th.
Nicole Parks qualified 21st. Nicole had problems with her top air.
In her final run, Emma got great turn scores, but her speed was a bit slower than the rest of the field and she finished 9th in the final as well. She is currently 9th in the European Cup Standings, which proves that she is getting regular top 10 results in the competitions.
In men, Sam Hall had skied really well, but didn’t quite get his speed in control after the second air. He finished 22nd today with the score of 20.35. Hugh Norton had a great run, but he was unable to ski out from his second jump. He finished 37th with the score of 16.21
The field of men was 71 skiers. (Top 16 qualify for finals)
The team is having a well-deserved 3 days off after a tough leg of 6 competitions in 7 days. Our next scheduled competition in Bad Wiessee was re-scheduled back to Schierlsee where we skied last weekend. The reason for this was that there were insufficient snow conditions in Bad Wiessee ski area. I will provide more reports after next weekend.
Until then,
Legs
