Australia’s best young Mogul talent headed to Mt
Buller on the weekend for the Victorian leg of the Junior National
Mogul Championships, and the results could not have gone more as
planned, with Team Buller and Buller Riders athletes winning five
medals.
The highlight was without a doubt the Lovick brothers, Robert and
Tom, finishing in first and second in the Junior Men’s category.
Robert, who is training this season with the New South Wales
Institute of Sport (NSWIS) put down a great run to comfortably win
the event, with brother Tom impressing the crowd with the biggest
air of the day, a 720 rotation off the top air.
NSWIS athlete Sam Hall was third.
In the Junior Women’s division, NSWIS athlete Emma Chapman-Davies
took out her division, with Buller Riders skier Lainie Plummer
finishing in second place. Eliz Graham from Perisher Blue was third.
The Youth Men’s division saw NSWIS athletes David Graham and Rohan
Chapman-Davies finish in first and second. Buller Riders athlete
Jack Steel made it onto his first youth podium in third place.
International athlete Elle Koyander of Great Britain won the Youth
Women’s division, ahead of Buller Rider Georgia Miller and Nicole
Parks of Perisher in third place.
